The NFL won’t win with fans by trashing the US military.
In 2016 after cop-hater Colin Kaepernick started his protest during the national anthem a poll found that 72 percent of Americans believed it was unpatriotic.
62 percent of Americans opposed the gesture.
In one poll, which was conducted by Reuters, 72 percent of Americans said that they thought Kaepernick’s behavior was unpatriotic. Another 61 percent said that they do not “support the stance Colin Kaepernick is taking and his decision not to stand during the national anthem.”
The Reuters poll of 2,903 adults was conducted between Sept. 6-12. Kaepernick’s protest went public on Aug. 26.
Another 2016 poll from Yahoo Sports revealed that 44% of NFL fans would give up watching professional football altogether if more players followed in Colin Kaepernick’s footsteps by disrespecting the flag.
This past weekend over 200 NFL players knelt during the US national anthem on Gold Star Mothers Day.
