- November 05, 2017

Texas church gunman Devin Kelley was reportedly court-martialed for assaulting his wife and child in 2012.

“Texas church shooter was court-martialed in 2012 for assault on his spouse and their child and received a Bad Conduct Discharge,” reports NBC News.

“US Air Force to VOA  1/3 Devin P. Kelley was former USAF member-served at Holloman AFB NM, from 2010 until discharge in 2014. Kelley was court-martialed in 2012 for two counts of Article 128 UCMJ–assault on his spouse and assault on their child. Air Force to VOA-Kelley received a Bad Conduct Discharge, confinement for 12 months & a reduction to the grade of E-1,” tweeted VOA’s Carla Babb

As Jim Hoft of The Gateway Pundit previously reported, Devin Kelley was court martialed in 2014 after a dishonorable discharge.

Here is the case number:
No. 14-0387/AF.  U.S. v. Devin P. KELLEY.  CCA 38267.

According to McMilitary Law: States have laws for gun control for court martial cases.
Will I be able to own firearms?
Federal and state laws do place restrictions on the purchase of firearms by those convicted of felonies. 18 USC § 922(b). Many jurisdictions distinguish between violent and non-violent offenses.

It was against the law for Devin to own firearms.
