CNN’s Jim Acosta Tries To Blame #SchumerShutdown On POTUS Trump — Immediately Regrets It (VIDEO)

- Januari 21, 2018

CNN‘s Jim Acosta, never failing to miss an opportunity to be a mouthpiece for the Democratic National Committee, asked White House legislative affairs director Marc Short Saturday what he thought about the federal government shutting down on Donald Trump’s one-year anniversary as President. As you can imagine, one again, things did not go well for the White House correspondent.

Partial transcript provided by the Daily Caller:

In response, Short brought receipts. He said:

It’s reflection of the Democratic Party. They’ve pushed their leadership to say we want something to shut down the government.

They look back and see the largest tax cut in history. They see the repeal of the individual mandate. They look at the regulatory rollback. They look what’s happened with $7 trillion added to the stock markets and see more circuit court judges ever confirmed in one year and a new supreme court justice confirmed.

Those are the things we look at as tremendous progress. They look at the accomplishments and all that this administration has accomplished and their reaction is: ‘Because we can’t beat them, we’re going to shut down the government.’

Unsurprisingly, the White House correspondent could not muster up a reply.

Acosta’s antics didn’t end there Saturday.

In an attempt to imply officials administration are pleased that the federal government has shut down, the CNN reporter tweeted the following photo, stating, “WH releases photos of POTUS and WH staffers smiling on this first day of .”

Perhaps Acosta should familiarize himself with liberal media outlets, such as the New York Times and Bloomberg, who are blaming Senate Democrats for the government shutdown.

Daily Caller reports:

“U.S. Shutdown Starts as Senate Democrats Block GOP Funding Plan” a Bloomberg headline blared early Saturday morning, referring to the Senate’s inability to agree on a variety of budgetary issues. The New York Times and AP chimed in with similar headlines.

Republican and Democratic leaders have not stopped talking through their differences. Office of Management and Budget Director Mick Mulvaney, for instance, said late Friday night that the conflict has a “really good chance” of being resolved before the weekend concludes. […]

Media outlets, meanwhile, painted the issue in harsh tones for the Democrats — one NYT headline declared: “Senate Democrat Block Bill to Keep Government Open Past Midnight, Shutdown Looms,” while the AP simply noted that, “Senate Democrats derail bill to avert shutdown.”
