White House Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders dropped a truth hammer on Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer Friday after the New York Democrat fired off yet another tweet in support of DREAMers.

Senate Majority Chuck Schumer tweeted Friday that President Trump is using the DREAMers as a political “wedge,” an accusation which wasn’t well received by White House press secretary Sarah Sanders.
Democrats in the Senate recently forced a government shutdown over the legislation involving DREAMers, or children whose parents came to the country illegally. Both sides are working furiously to win a messaging war over the fate of some 800,000 Dreamers as the March deadline for DACA approaches.
“As we have been urging him to do for months, the President has finally put pen to paper to show us where he stands on immigration. Unfortunately, this plan flies in the face of what most Americans believe,” Schumer tweeted.

“While @realDonaldTrump finally acknowledged that the Dreamers should be allowed to stay here and become citizens, he uses them as a tool to tear apart our legal immigration system and adopt the wish list that anti-immigration hardliners have advocated for for years,” the Senator added.

Earlier today, President Donald Trump called out Schumer for making DACA negations “increasingly difficult.”
