President Trump has announced that he is directing Attorney General Jeff Sessions to move forward on banning certain gun modifications, notably, the infamous “bump stock” that was instrumental in the Las Vegas massacre last October.

“Just a few moments ago I signed a memorandum directing the Attorney General to propose regulations that to ban all devices that turn legal weapons into machine guns. I expect that these regulations will be finalized, Jeff, very soon.”
The President emphasized that taking action to prevent future shootings like last week’s devastating attack on Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, Florida. “We can do more to protect our children. We must do more to protect our children,” he said.
