The latest concern surrounding the FISA memo is that FBI Director Christopher Wray may resign if the White House releases the document. Or is it?
CNN reports:
Top White House aides are worried FBI Director Christopher Wray could quit if the highly controversial Republican memo alleging the FBI abused its surveillance tools is released, multiple sources with knowledge of the situation tell CNN. […] Wray’s stance is “raising hell,” one source familiar with the matter said. […] One person briefed on the matter said the White House believes that redactions could cure the problem, given the White House plan is to approve the release of the memo and leave it up to Nunes’ committee to officially release the document. But it is not clear redactions will be enough to satisfy concerns at the FBI, according to other officials, because their concerns are that substantial omissions make the document inaccurate, which is something redactions won’t address.
Not so fast, CNN. NBC News reports Wray has “has no intention of quitting if controversial House Intel memo is released despite his objections.”

CNN’s report comes on the heels of Fox News contributor Sara A. Carter reporting Wray, along with the Justice Department, are pressuring the White House to redact all names in the FISA abuse memo prior to its release.

According to earlier reports five FBI officials visited the White House this week and revised the House intelligence memo.
CBS News contributor Fran Townsend reported Thursday that Wray has prepared a full rebuttal of the memo if released by the Trump administration.
