CNN White House correspondent Jim Acosta often acts more like a political activist than a journalist, frequently clowning himself and the network he works for.
Acosta’s consistent efforts to get Trump with a “gotcha moment” have resulted in some very cringe-worthy moments and have ended in Press Secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders passing over Acosta for questions on many an occasion.
Once again, Acosta demonstrated that he’s not to be taken seriously as a reporter as he attempted to call Trump out on DACA legislation during the White House’s annual Easter Egg Roll, where the White House invites children to race where eggs are pushed with spoons.
According to the Daily Caller’s Benny Johnson, who has the scene on video, Trump was sitting at a coloring table with his son Barron, other children, and his wife Melania when Acosta shouted his question.
“What about the DACA kids?” Acosta yelled out to Trump. “Should they worry about what’s going to happen to them?”
“The Democrats have clearly let them down,” responded Trump, then turning his back in clear indication that now was not the time for these questions.
“Didn’t you kill DACA? Didn’t you kill DACA?” yelled Acosta.
Trump did not respond to Acosta after that.

It’s no mystery that CNN is heavily biased against the right, but Acosta’s continuous beclowning of himself and his network is reaching critical levels of bad. This question would have been appropriate at press conferences on policy. Why Acosta felt this question was appropriate at this point in time is puzzling.
It either points to Acosta having a hard time understanding that there’s a time and place, which doesn’t say much for Acosta, or both Acosta and CNN have a weird sense of appropriate conduct for a journalist, which doesn’t say much for either of them.
Either way, CNN continues to send Acosta to the White House despite his lack of integrity, which means that CNN is continuously endorsing the behavior.
