This morning on Twitter, President Trump declared “cash cow NAFTA is in play” as he pushed Congress to act on immigration.
“The big Caravan of People from Honduras, now coming across Mexico and heading to our “Weak Laws” Border, had better be stopped before it gets there. Cash cow NAFTA is in play, as is foreign aid to Honduras and the countries that allow this to happen. Congress MUST ACT NOW!”

President Trump has frequently slammed NAFTA as an unfair deal that gives Canada and Mexico better trade terms than the United States. Similarly, Trump has railed against illegal immigration since he was on the campaign trail – concerns of illegal immigration were heightened recently when it was discovered that there is a caravan of South Americans traveling through Mexico to the United States.
