Students Encouraged to Call Campus Police on ICE Agents

- Mei 04, 2018

Western Washington University sent a memo to students to address a rumor of immigration “ICE” agents on campus to assure them that  “ICE is not currently conducting operations on our campus.” Not only that, but they encouraged students to call the campus police if they see anyone that they believe to be ICE.

Campus Reform has a copy of the e-mail.

“This afternoon, concerns have been circulating that perhaps Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) officers have been active on our campus today,” she wrote. “Such rumors can be frightening and disruptive for our entire community, as students may fear for their own safety or the safety of others.”

Calling campus police on ICE seems a bit much, no?
