Actor Robert DeNiro cursed President Donald Trump live on stage at the internationally broadcast Tony awards Sunday night, saying twice, “F*** Trump!”
The 72nd annual Tony Awards honoring stage performances was held at Radio City Music Hall in New York City and broadcast by CBS, which bleeped DeNiro’s profanity while some other outlets around the world did not.
President Trump is in Singapore for a high stakes meeting with North Korea’s Kim Jong Un in an effort to prevent a nuclear war with the rogue communist nation by pressuring it to give up its nuclear weapons and ballistic missiles.
The Tony Awards audience gave DeNiro a standing ovation.
“I’m gonna say one thing: F*** Trump! (Long, loud cheers and standing ovation from the Tonys audience.) It’s no longer ‘down with Trump’, it’s ‘f*** Trump!'”

DeNiro was on stage to introduce a performance by Bruce Springsteen who performed a version of My Hometown from his Broadway show, Springsteen on Broadway. DeNiro praised Springsteen, who is part of the anti-Trump ‘resistance’, ““Bruce, you can rock the house like nobody else. And even more important in these perilous times, you rock the vote, always fighting for, in your own words, ‘Truth, transparency, and integrity in government.’ Boy, do we need that now.” (Quote via Variety.)
