Charges against porn star and Trump antagonist Stormy Daniels resulting from her arrest for illegal touching at a Columbus, Ohio, strip club Wednesday night were dropped by prosecutors on Thursday. The case against Daniels hinged on her being a “regular” nude or semi-nude performer at the club which was mandated by the statute. This was her first appearance there, so her misconduct did not meet the particulars of the statute forcing the prosecutors to move to dismiss the charges because of that loophole.
Daniels was playing the first of a two night stand at Sirens. The second night set for Thursday was initially cancelled by Daniels in the wake of her arrest even though she had been released on a reported $6000 bond. However her attorney, Michael Avenatti announce Thursday afternoon she would return to the scene of “no crime” to perform her second show date. UPDATE: Avenatti said late Thursday afternoon Daniels would not return to Sirens but that she is looking for another area club to strip at instead.
“My client @StormyDaniels refuses to be intimidated. She will return to the scene of the “no crime” tonight in Columbus, Ohio as scheduled. She never ceases to impress! #Courage #Basta”

Columbus police said Daniels’ arrest was “part of a long-term investigation into allegations of human trafficking,
prostitution, & other vice related violations.”

A question by this writer to Avenatti about who was responsible for Daniels not being informed of the local performance rules went unanswered by time of publication, “Why wasn’t your client briefed on the local performance laws? Is that a failure on your part or on whoever booked her at the Sirens?”
