A Florida family is concerned about their safety after finding their home vandalized with anti-Trump messages on primary night and their car vandalized less than 24 hours later.
Jeanne and Michael Carroll had a Trump flag hanging outside their Lake Worth home when it was targeted by profane left-wing vandals.
The perpetrator wrote “f-ck Trump” under their window near the flag.
“We should have freedom of speech, freedom to do whatever we want on our own property,” Jeanne Carroll told WPTV. She added that she feels “extremely violated.”
Less than 24 hours later, her husbands car was vandalized with the same message and a large “X.”
“I just don’t understand why anyone would take the chance of endangering themselves and coming onto someone else’s property just because of a political flag,” she said.
She now fears that the vandal, or vandals, will escalate.
“What really frightens me is, if they’re that bold enough to do something like this, what else is coming in the future?” she said
The family has security cameras on their home, but it did not catch the incident. They are standing firm and will not be removing the flag — but they will be adding more security cameras.
