Following up on his stunning pro-Trump Saturday Night Live speech, rapper Kanye West is making liberal heads explode Sunday with a tweet of him wearing a red Make America Great Again hat with a message calling for the abolition of the 13th Amendment. (UPDATE AT END: West responds to critics.)
“this represents good and America becoming whole again. We will no longer outsource to other countries. We build factories here in America and create jobs. We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment. Message sent with love”

Uninformed liberals went crazy as they exploded in outrage that West was calling for the repeal of the amendment to the Constitution that banned slavery.
Section 1. Neither slavery nor involuntary servitude, except as a punishment for crime whereof the party shall have been duly convicted, shall exist within the United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction.
Section 2. Congress shall have power to enforce this article by appropriate legislation.
Reactions from educated elites who are apparently ignorant that West and his wife Kim Kardashian are involved in prison reform at a presidential level, including meetings in the Oval Office with President Trump, working for, among other reforms, the abolition of extremely low pay prison labor that West and others compare to a form of slavery:
The Daily Beast led the way with ignorant condescending criticism of West, “Kanye West tweeted a message of “love” for Trump, writing, “We will provide jobs for all who are free from prisons as we abolish the 13th amendment.” It’s unclear clear if Ye understood that the 13th amendment abolished slavery”

Does he not know what the 13th amendment is, or is he just trying to be reactionary? Because… what the fuck. pic.twitter.com/PK9ZL8kjFn

Owning the libs by using the outrage to sell the hats and the records to make the money.

Also the 13 amendment abolished slavery, so by abolishing it you’d be bringing it back.

Kanye seems to be saying that slavery ought to be constitutional again https://t.co/1y0lqY4C44

A few astute observers noted West has likely been influenced by the documentary film, 13th.

West responded to his critics, explaining, “the 13th Amendment is slavery in disguise meaning it never ended We are the solution that heals” and “not abolish but. let’s amend the 13th amendment We apply everyone’s opinions to our platform”
