Fired FBI Director James Comey filed a lawsuit Thursday in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia to quash a subpeona by the House Judiciary Committee to testify in a closed session on December 3 as part of a joint investigation with the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee into the handling of the Clinton email investigation.
Comey, who himself admitted to leaking to hurt President Trump, has said he only wants to testify in public to prevent leaks. Former Attorney General Loretta Lynch has also been subpoenaed by the committee.
House Republicans can ask me anything they want but I want the American people to watch, so let’s have a public hearing. Truth is best served by transparency. Let me know when is convenient.
