In Case You Missed It: Accused Woman Beater Keith Ellison Easily Wins MN Attorney General #MeToo

- November 17, 2018

The woman who accused Keith Ellison of abuse spoke out about her treatment by the Democrats compared to how they are treating the 36-year-old allegations against Judge Brett Kavanaugh.

Ellison’s ex-girlfriend Karen Monahan accused the congressman of domestic abuse, which led to a second woman coming forward with additional claims against him — backed up by a 9-1-1 call.

The Democratic Party demands that we all “believe women” in the wake of allegations that Brett Kavanaugh got a little handsy with a fellow high school student 36 years ago — but Monahan says that she was not granted that courtesy.

Responding to a tweet from Democratic strategist and former advisor to Hillary Clinton, Peter Daou, in which he said that Ford will be “attacked, smeared, and demonized” and that people must “BELIEVE WOMEN,” a twitter user asked Monahan if the Democrats believe her.

“No, they don’t. I’ve been smeared, threatened, isolated from my own party. I provided medical records from 2017, stating on two different Dr. Visits, I told them about the abuse and who did it. My therapist released records stating I have been dealing and healing from the abuse,” Monahan began.

Despite his violent nature Keith Ellison easily won the Minnesota race for Attorney General.

The fact that Ellison is an accused woman beater did not affect his race in Minnesota.

CNN Politics reported

Democratic Rep. Keith Ellison won his bid to be Minnesota’s next attorney general despite facing accusations of abuse.

With 100% of precincts reporting, Ellison captured about 49% of the vote to best his Republican rival Doug Wardlow, who raked in 45% of the vote, according to Minnesota’s Secretary of State’s Office.

Ellison announced in June that he would withdraw his bid for re-election to Congress and instead campaign for Minnesota’s attorney general.

In August, the son of Ellison’s former girlfriend Karen Monahan detailed allegations of physical abuse by the congressman in a Facebook post, saying that he discovered a video on his mother’s computer in 2017 that allegedly showed Ellison attempting to drag Monahan off a bed while cursing at her.

Ellison denied the allegation and claimed that a video of the incident “does not exist because I never behaved in this way.”
