President Trump met with Senate Republicans today on Capitol Hill to discuss border security and the ongoing partial government shutdown.
The government has had a partial shutdown for 19th day.
President Trump: I just want to tell you, you know, the fake news, the fake news, the Republicans are totally unified. Now if you would ask the same question of the Democrats, you let me know in some of those districts where I won or they’re a little bit more toward sanity, You want them to run saying we don’t want border security? You got plenty of Democrats who do not want to be in this battle. You have a lot of Democrats, the Republicans are unified. We want border security. We want safety for our country… The only reason they’re against it is because I won the presidency.
