Pelosi’s Angels™ strike again, as a man who murdered a Kittitas County Sheriff’s deputy and wounded a Kittitas police officer in Washington has been identified as Juan Manuel Flores Del Toro.
ICE later confirmed that Del Toro was in the country illegally after overstaying his H-2A visa from 2014.
A deputy with the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office was shot and killed in the line of duty Tuesday evening in the city of Kittitas.
Deputy Ryan Thompson was 42. Thompson was born and raised in Walla Walla and attended Central Washington University.
Police identified the suspect as 29-year-old Ellensburg resident Juan Manuel Flores Del Toro.
On Thursday, U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) confirmed that Toro was “unlawfully present in the United States.”
ICE sent the following statement to KIRO 7:
“Juan Manuel Flores Del Toro, a citizen of Mexico, was unlawfully present in the United States. He entered the U.S. on April 11, 2014 through a Laredo, Texas Land Port of Entry on a Temporary Agricultural Worker (H-2A) visa. U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) has no record of Flores Del Toro leaving the U.S., nor extending his visa after it expired.”
The piece goes on to explain that Thompson and Officer Benito Chavez had pulled Del Toro’s vehicle over after a road rage incident, and Del Toro opened fire on the officers. Chavez, who has only been on the Kittitas police force for 2 months, was hit in the leg and is recovering from a fractured femur. He’s one of only three officers in the Kittitas police department.
Del Toro also died in the gun battle, saving taxpayers untold thousands of dollars in future incarceration and other legal costs.
