Pete Buttigieg’s Brother-in-Law Appears on Tucker Carlson to Plead With His Relative to Reconsider His Stance on Abortion

- September 10, 2019

Mayor Pete Buttigieg’s Evangelical pastor brother-in-law Rhyan Glezman appeared on ‘Tucker Carlson Tonight’ on Tuesday to plead with his relative to change his stance on abortion.

Glezman did not want to trash his brother-in-law, but appealed to him to stop using scripture to justify late term abortion, telling him to “open his Bible” and “reconsider his position and the way he is misrepresenting scripture to push this pro-abortion platform.”

The pastor, who is the older brother of Mayor Pete’s husband Chasten Buttigieg, said that he is not political, but that abortion is a “God issue.”

“This is a spiritual issue, not a political issue,” he said.

Glezman said that he had not yet spoken to his brother-in-law about the issue.

“You know, we need to create a culture that speaks of human life and human beings who have value,” said Glezman. “We are commanded by Christ himself to uphold the dignity and respect of all human life. We need to stand for all the born and all the unborn … Pete has to make a decision. Are you going to stand up for the most vulnerable or seek the power and distort Scripture to meet your own political agenda? And that’s exactly what we are seeing just not with Pete but with the whole Democratic Party down the line.”

In a previous interview with the The Washington Examiner on Friday, Glezman said that Buttigieg is a hypocrite for not standing for life inside the womb.

“If we’re going to say we’re for all people and we love all people, but we don’t value human life in the womb, that’s being a hypocrite. You’re hypocritical if you don’t stand up for all life. So that’s why I’m speaking out,” said Glezman.

“This isn’t a little issue, especially when we’re talking about life,” the pastor added. “This is not just a political conversation. We’re talking about human life. These are human beings.”
